Dribble Knockout

Dribble Knockout

  • Each player must have a ball and be starting inside of the 3-point line. If there is a larger group, then the starting zone can be half a court
  • Players must dribble the basketball and maintain the dribble while using their other hand to tap other players basketballs out of bounds
  • Once a player’s ball goes out of bounds, they must stand at the edge of the zone with their ball, and they may try and tap the basketballs of the remaining players
  • When there are fewer remaining players then move the zone to the keyway and then the semi-circle near the free throw line

Knockout (Continuous)

Knockout (Continuous)

  • Players start at the free throw line in a single line
  • There will be two basketballs, one with the first player in line, the other with the second player in line
  • The first player must shoot from the free throw line, if they miss, they get their own rebound and try to get the ball in before the second player gets theirs in. If the first player makes their shot before the second player, they will grab the ball and pass to the next person in line
  • The second player must wait until the first player has shot their free throw before trying to get them out
  • A player can only get out from the player that is directly behind them
  • Once a player gets out, they must remember who got them out and sit on the sideline, if the player that originally knocked them out is eliminated, then that player can return to the game!
  • For any player to win, they must get every single player out without getting out themselves
  • We have neverseen a player win this game!

Golden Child

Golden Child

  • Split your team up into two even teams
  • One team will start on the free throw line in a single file line with one basketball starting with the player that is first in line
  • The other team will start at the corner of the sideline and baseline in a single line
  • Once the coach says go, the first player from the baseline will start running around the entire court, once they get back to their team, they get a point and they next player can run
  • While the players are running, the team on the free throw line will keep shooting free throws (one each) and if they make it, the runner stops where they are, if they keep missing, the player keeps running
  • The last person in the running line will be the Golden Child and when they run around, all players they run past who are out, can get back up and run through the finish line to get a max score!
  • The teams will switch when either the Golden Child is out by a free throw, or the entire team runs to the finish line!
  • After a round each, you may end there, or play another for redemption

Ball Tag

Ball Tag

  • Two players will start with one basketball and are “It”. Other players will be scattered around the half court
  • The “It” players can pass the ball to each other and must tag others with the ball. Once the player has the ball, they cannot run around, but they can pivot. Once passing the ball to their teammate they may run around
  • Once a player is tagged or runs out of bounds, that player will join the others that are “It” and will try to tag the remaining players
  • The last player to get tagged will win!
  • Tip: Pass fakes!

Memory Tag

Memory Tag

  • Players will start scattered all around the half court or full court with a basketball each
  • Each player is playing for themselves
  • The players must dribble to move around and use their other hand to tag another player
  • Once the player is tagged, they must sit down and remember the player that got them out. If the player that tags them gets tagged by a different player, they can re-join the game
  • If there is a standstill, yell “Jail Break”, and every player is back into the game
  • If two players tag each other at the same time, as a tie breaker, allow the players to play a round of Rock, Paper, Scissors
